Back of the Card. Copy reads:

I think this is an interesting one as it is an image whose words on the back create a whole different meaning. I spent a few days learning with Dale Graff - and this very thing came up when using targets. That any words associated with the image whether it is an image from a magazine article or as in this instance the back of a card are important to consider when analzying one's impressions. It is also important to consider what the words or experience mean to you personally and what you see in response to that experience.

Viewer 1 seemed to key in on the what we think of as a "park" as well as picking up on the actual image itself.

Viewer 2 seemed to go directly to the word "yellowstone" as well as the words "ashes" and 'charred fields" which is what a volcano does.

One of the things I have been fascinated about all this is that it really shows how each of thinks, visuallizes and gathers information in different ways... some go for the emotions, some the words and some images... Once we are aware of how we "think" then we can use that to get clearer information.

standing at the foot of... a statue
see a key gold in color perhaps to a car maybe a lincoln
could the color be bronze or copper instead of gold? could I be standing at the foot of the "Lincoln Memorial" Volcano could be a place of political or religious upheaval. If at "Lincoln Memorial" its a place of political upheaval.
Washington also known as "capitol HILL"

Viewer 4:
This is my VERY FIRST attempt.
The very first thought I had was that of a high black boot and then a phone booth.
