why PSI? For as long as humans have been around they have used their Psi* or Psychic abilities to survive. Many call it the "sixth sense." Kings regularly used seers as advisors. Villages couldn't exist without their healers. The life and death of many communities depended on their shamans. Throughout history these psi abilities may have brought the user accolades but also sometimes death... for many times the user did something that seemed to be miraculous but not being able to explain how it was done created distrust and fear. Today PSI abilities are still used for survival by many indigenous tribes throughout the world but in our "modern" society the inability to explain or even scientifically prove what is happening still leads to the use of PSI as being something to ridicule and even fear.
What is interesting is that this sixth sense is something that we are all born with and use on a regular basis... many times we call our use of PSI "coincidence." How many times have you picked up the phone knowing who is on the other end? Or thought of a long lost friend only to find later a letter from them in the mailbox? And we have all heard the tales of someone at the last minute deciding not to take that airline flight only to find out later that it crashed. So what is it that we are really experiencing and how can we use it to our benefit?
what is remote viewing? Believe it or not "remote viewing" was used by the US Government's Project STARGATE for many years. One reason it was developed in the middle 1970s was because of the Soviet use and study of parapsychology. The team at STARGATE worked with a group of researchers from the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) who had developed protocols for the successful use and documentation of something called "remote viewing**." Remote Viewing was used successfully to help locate kidnap victims, downed aircraft and to "spy" on the activities of the USSR for many years. (To get more information go to resources)
We can experience and see for ourselves how strong our Psi abilities really are through remote viewing experiments. Each experiment had a "target," sometimes the target is a photo, sometimes a 3-d object and sometimes an actual place. Sometimes the actual target can be unknown to the facilitor when the "target" is picked by a third party - this is called a "double blind." Accessing the target information can be done not only through a meditative state but also through dreams.
it takes practice. when you sit down to "remote view" what one gets is "impressions" which might not be clear "photographic" images. So the key to good information is to write everything down - not just words but also the impressions of shapes and to practice! The more you practice the easier it is to interpret your impressions in a clear and meaningful way.
How to Remote View
* Psi is the twenty-third letter of the Greek alphabet. Pronounced "sigh," it is a neutral term, designated in the 1940s, for mental phenomena that includes informational (e.g. ESP, remote viewing) and energetic or action effects (e.g., psychokinesis.) (From "River Dreams" by Dale Graff Glossary page 212)
**Remote Viewing - A mental ability related to ESP used to access distant or shielded information. Other similar terms: remote perception, enhanced perception. RV was originally used in the context of an experimental procedure. As practiced, it resembles clairvoyance, although a telepathic aspect cannot be excluded. The term "remote viewing" was coined in the early 1970s as a neutral term to eliminate the biases and troublesome images often associated with older terms such as clairvoyance. RV can be visual in character revealing natural or structural features or may involve other sensory modes such as feelings, sound, smell, taste or touch.
